Highlights Along the Way is excited to announce a giveaway for the Happiest Place on Earth! Halloween time is my favorite time of year at Disneyland and having a Disneyland tickets giveaway makes it even sweeter.  Halloween time is the official beginning of the holidays at the Disneyland Resort so it holds a special place in our hearts.  Seasonal treats, not so spooky entertainment, pumpkin themed treats, Halloween themed rides, and of course Mickey’s Halloween Party all add up to magical memories. Don’t miss our Disneyland tickets giveaway at the end!

It was recently announced that the extremely popular ride Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror will be closing soon at Disney’s California Adventure Park.  Fans need not fret, there is plenty of time to take advantage of the Final Check out Celebration for Tower of Terror.  Tower of Terror is the perfect addition to Halloween time fun at the Disneyland Resort. I am beyond excited to be hosting a giveaway for FOUR Park Hopper tickets to the Disneyland Resort just in time for Final Check Out!

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will have its final check-out date on Jan. 2, 2017. A special tribute began in September to salute the haunted hotel’s eerie story and exciting adventure at Disney California Adventure Park. During the celebration, guests who arrive after twilight will enjoy “Late Check-Out”. Late Check-Out is an opportunity to ride the ride in complete darkness! We have ridden Tower of Terror several times and just experienced Late Check Out on our last trip. There is nothing like it!

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror celebration also includes special musical performances, commemorative merchandise and specialty food and beverage items. Performing at the Hollywood Tower Hotel are the Silver Lake Sisters, characters from the story of this famous hotel who once performed at its rooftop lounge. The sisters performed while we were there and it was an awesome addition to the experience.

Hot tip! Tower of Terror, like many popular rides has a Fast Pass.  Grab one early to save you some time!

Haunted Mansion Disneyland

Halloween celebrations are all over Disneyland Park too!  Thrill seekers can ride Space Mountain’s spooky themed ride “Ghost Galaxy”. The entire family can enjoy Jack Skellington and friends at the “Haunted Mansion Holiday”! Halloween and fall treats are available at nearly every restaurant and treat shop. The traditional Mexican celebration, “Dia de los Muertos,” is observed with a skeleton display in Frontierland, near Rancho del Zocalo restaurant. Seasonal fun is truly around every corner.

Mickey’s Halloween Party is sold out for the 2016 season (please note our giveaway tickets do not include admission as the party is sold out), but while I have your attention I feel I should encourage you to pencil it in for next year. Tickets for the popular event typically go on sale in July and sell out in September. Party dates begin on select nights in late September and run through Halloween night. Guests are invited to visit in costume and trick or treat throughout the park.  Our kids always bring home way too much candy as well as healthy snacks like apple chips and individual bags of carrots.

In addition to dressing up and trick or treating, Mickey’s Halloween Party guests will enjoy special entertainment and rides throughout the park. Many rides lines tend to be much shorter.  Guests of Mickey’s Halloween Party also enjoy a parade just for them as well as a private fireworks themed for the season. Meet and greet opportunities with rarely seen villains are also a perk of Mickey’s Halloween Party.  Make sure to grab your ticket early next year so you don’t miss the fun!
