We eat lots of fruits and veggies in our house. Recently we have had quite a bit of fruits and veggies pop up in our garden and I can only assume that over the years we are going to have more and more during certain times of the year. We have given a lot of our garden fruits and veggies away and we also freeze to use later, but I was often disappointed by how quickly things would spoil or wilt in the fridge. I was so excited to give a BerryBreeze a try to see if it would keep our fruits and veggies fresher in the refrigerator for a longer period of time. Here is my BerryBreeze review.
We put the BerryBreeze in the fridge to see how it would work. I am surprised to say it really does work. Fruits and veggies last much longer and it is very rare that something spoils before we are able to use it! I have noticed I am buying less produce and throwing virtually nothing out. There were times I would go to the grocery store to buy produce as much as twice a week (even with our garden!), now I can go about every other week because things are just staying fresher longer. BerryBreeze basically sanitizes the fridge it lives in safely and naturally. It neutralizes undesirable microorganisms, germs, mold, yeast, fungus, bacteria, and viruses. Did I mention our fridge smells like I just cleaned it every day? The ‘fridge funk’ as we say is gone!
While I am super happy about what BerryBreeze is doing for my wallet in that I am shopping less and able to use more of our garden I really want to point out the environmental and social impact it is having!
- Average Americans waste up to 40% of their food purchases (shame on us!) – what if more people were able to save and consume their produce before it spoils? Instead of buying more that extra produce can be given to help feed others!
- When we waste food not only do we need to buy more to eat, all that spoiled food ends up in a landfill. If we can waste less, we pollute less!
- Since we have been using the BerryBreeze I have cut down my grocery shopping from a one or two times a week trip to about 2 or 3 times a month – about HALF! Again, this saves me money at the grocery store overall, but I also don’t gas up my car, consume more plastic bags, extra packaging, etc. It may not be a huge impact, but I feel like little things add up.
While our family is very mindful of our purchases and we don’t throw out as much as average; BerryBreeze claims it can save the average family save over $2,000 a YEAR on food!
It is seriously so easy to use. Install batteries and put it in the fridge. The End.
We noticed a difference that first week. I can safely give the BerryBreeze my stamp of approval!
*the above link qualifies for Prime – there are several other BerryBreeze options on Amazon – but I know Prime is super popular so I included that one. *
