With Summer break nipping at our heels, this family is running on fumes. School, extra curricular activities, work deadlines, and end of the year parties have us hanging by a thread. The weather is getting warmer and we are so easily distracted that with everything else going on, dinner is sometimes nearly impossible to get on the table. Romano’s Macaroni Grill to the rescue! We have long been fans of Macaroni Grill and we were so excited to hear they have $10 to go pizzas on Wednesday nights.
Our kids range from five to eleven. We know this time where they are still mostly at home is fading fast. While several summers have been spent just trying to make ends meet and restoring this little house, this summer is going to be different. We plan on slowing down and enjoying eachother’s company more. We are currently putting the finishing touches on our backyard and we have been eating outside regularly now. It was so nice to simply order something delicious online, pick it up, and relax with the summer breeze and my favorite people.
We ordered online and were in and out in just a couple minutes!
“Romanos Macaroni Grill is excited to offer busy Southern Californians a handcrafted Neopolitan-style pizza created with ingredients from Italy and cooked in its 600-degree brick oven. Individual 12” pizzas are available for $10 and are carry-out only on Wednesdays from May 31 – July 12 at San Diego area locations including Chula Vista, Oceanside and Escondido and all Southern California locations”
There are four different options, and they are all delicious!
- Farmhouse: butcher-chopped bacon, prosciutto, pepperoni, sautéed spinach, and fresh mozzarella, fonduta and parmesan cheeses
- Margherita: bruschetta tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and Genesio extra virgin olive oil (from the Mancini family farm in Italy)
- Cheese: fresh mozzarella and parmesan
- Pepperoni: pepperoni and fresh mozzarella cheese
Pepperoni was our family’s unanimous favorite!
We can’t wait for Summer to officially hit! We plan on filling out our Summer bucket list and making sweet memories we can look back on for a lifetime. When we are able to sit down and enjoy a meal together we love to talk about all the things we’d like to do. We talk about what was fun that day, and what we look forward to tomorrow. We have found that if we don’t carve out time, the opportunity for relationship building sometimes escapes us.
When things are busy (when is it not busy) we sometimes forget what we are working so hard for. When we take the time to slow down, we always regret not doing it more often. We know that these are the moments they will remember and appreciate being heard. Our hope is that this Summer will allow us some time to relax and hear our kid’s voices.
Grabbing food to go might seem like a little thing. I read somewhere that the little things are what we will look back on and realize they made up the big things. I think we will be keeping our eye out for more deals like this to take advantage of all Summer long! Thank you Romano’s Macaroni Grill for a little Summer relief with this sweet special!
