The following post is a Waiting Child spotlight brought to you by my friends at Show Hope, a non profit adoption grant organization. The child featured is waiting for a family and more information can be found through the contact below!
Back in 2003, Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, founded Show Hope out of their desire to see more children find their way into forever families. Though many families they talked to desired to adopt, the financial costs to adoption were simply prohibitive. Since its inception, Show Hope has helped provide forever homes through Adoption Aid grants for more than 4,000 waiting children from 50+ countries, including the U.S. In addition, more than 1,000 orphans with special needs have received critically needed medical care through Show Hope’s Special Care Centers!
Yaniza is a very special little girl who recently celebrated her first birthday! When she came under the care of Show Hope’s Xinyang Care Center in the Henan province of China, she was diagnosed with spina bifida. Shortly after, she was able to receive the life-saving spinal surgery she needed and we thank God for her smooth and speedy recovery!
Although Yaniza has limited mobility, she doesn’t let that change her bright and cheerful personality! Most days, she can be found bouncing happily in her walker or sitting up for short periods of time (without assistance)! Yaniza has a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that never fails to brighten up the day for those around her. She also loves to join any conversation or sing-a-long with her enthusiastic babbling!
Thanks to the generosity of Show Hope sponsors and donors, Yaniza has been able to receive the love and medical care she needs to thrive. Every detail of her care is made possible because of people like you who are extending the love of Christ to the least of these. By partnering with Show Hope, you are truly making a difference in the lives of precious children like Yaniza!
