Word Whammer – keeping the preschooler entertained during homeschool days!
One thing that people ask me ALL time time about homeschool is how we keep Little Miss C entertained while the big kids are learning. While I think many four year olds are able to sit and do preschool worksheets or even engage in homeschool activities while their older siblings have class time, C isn’t quite there yet.
My hottest tip for keeping her entertained is having a special toy that is only allowed while the big kids have school time. The special toy right now is the Word Whammer by LeapFrog. She loves the games and I love that it is totally educational!
The Word Whammer helps her identify letters and will help her grow into word building. Little Miss C is in preschool this year and we are doing our very best to get her ready for Kindergarten next year. The Word Whammer has simple games that makes it really fun to learn and identify the look and sounds of letters. Letter and Number identification has been challenging for C, and it isn’t for lack of all of us trying. While we have really worked with her quite a bit, I have seen the most growth when she plays with her Word Whammer. There are five learning levels on the Word Whammer so I know this is a toy that she can grow with for quite some time.

We love our Word Whammer too! I was surprised at how quickly my 2.5 year old figured it out!
This would be a great car trip toy.
