“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” ~ Walt Disney

Little known fact alert, I lettered in three things in High School – Competitive Show Choir, Drama, and Art. For real….. and this was before Glee made it cool to letter in any of those things. Anyway, it is safe to say that I would have really enjoyed the Disney Youth Performing Arts Programs that is part of the Disney Youth Education Series offered at Disney Parks in both California and Florida.

Show Choir Disneyland

Disney Performing Arts OnStage  is the opportunity for Vocalists, Musicians, Dancers, and Musical Theater groups from all over the world get to be a part of the Disney Entertainment for a day.

Disney Performing Arts also offers two and three hour workshops in instrumental, choral, and dance ensembles, marching band, auxiliary units, and theatre groups. Workshops are open to middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Disney Youth

Last week along with our trip to learn about The Disney Youth Education Series, my fellow bloggers and I participated in Acting 1o1 in the Disney Performing Arts Workshops……hear that 16 year old me?  You took an acting class at Disneyland – and it was AWESOME!  Acting 101 provides students with the building blocks of theatre, while exploring performance and storytelling techniques. Our class was led by an industry show director, which really was incredible!  I just kept thinking what a unique experience this must be for a theater student! We just had a sample of what this class is for students, and I so wish this class was available when I was younger. I can absolutely see my little girl in this workshop one day!
