Easter basket ideas for teens
With two teens in our house, I am currently prepping Easter baskets for teens. While teens can be a challenge to shop for, I think there are so many fun things to put in Easter baskets. Teens have a wide variety of interests, and if you are creative, you can almost always find fun things to gift them for Easter.
When we make teen’s Easter baskets, our goal is to pack it as full as possible with things they need and want. Our goal is to add fun treats and snacks, but also cool things that let them know we are paying attention to who they are. We also like to include things that make their teen lives a bit easier, like a gift card to a restaurant close to school or a new set of ear buds.

Audible Subscription (FREE TRIAL)
If your teen struggles with reading (like I do), but wants to get books into their brains, an Audible subscription is a fairly reasonable monthly fee. I have at times paused my subscription very easily and even chosen an every other month option when I was extremely busy. I personally love to listen to audio books while I draw, while I am on public transportation, or even while waiting in the school pick up line. I think this might be a perfect gift for a teen. Don’t miss the free trial in the link above (remember to cancel if it isn’t their jam).
This is a perfect time to normalize gifting 2nd hand gifts. Books make the perfect 2nd hand gift. We have found that exchanging books on a local “Buy Nothing Group” is a perfect way to give someone the gift their child has asked for or giving our child a book someone has passed down. We also love to pop into local used book stores or check out Facebook marketplace. While a fresh new book is a great gift, so is a second hand book. I believe most teens would agree! Our teen would rather have three gently pre read books than one fresh new book any day!
Last Comic on Earth (Or I guess any graphic novel)
Our youngest is a reluctant reader, but she truly enjoys graphic novels. I highly suggest graphic novels if your kids are struggling with reading. While there are so many popular graphic novels to choose from, I am using my website to shamelessly plug the new book “The Last Comic On Earth” written by our brilliant friend, Joshua Pruett. Buy it now, you are welcome. Ok, below is copy from Amazon if you still need to be convinced…..
Jack, Quint, June, and Dirk are about to face a challenge unlike any they’ve faced before . . . At their local comic book store, the kids make a startling discovery: they’ve read every last issue of their favorite comic, Z-Man, and no new issues are coming…ever! (Thanks a lot, apocalypse.). Nooo!
Our heroes have but one choice: continue Z-Man’s legacy by writing and illustrating THEIR OWN COMIC BOOK! Step one? Knock off their beloved Z-Man and cast themselves as super rad, super goofy, superhero protectors of the mysterious city of Apocalyptia. What could possibly go wrong? Just about everything!
Fans are sure to love this hilarious, action-packed, four-color graphic novel series by the creators of The last Kids on Earth.
Practical Easter Basket Ideas for Teens
While Easter Baskets are meant to be fun, we also like to put some essentials in baskets.
Small Technology Items
Ear Buds
Apple Gift Cards
Personal Care Items
While I wouldn’t just put a plain deodorant in their Easter basket, I may put a body wash in their favorite scent, a hair mask, or new sunscreen. Our daughters will usually have their favorite hair ties, detangler, and shower caps in their baskets. Personal care items that show you know what their favorites are is a great sensible option for teen Easter baskets.

Funny tshirt – My teen son will definitely be getting a funny Band T-shirt in his Easter Basket.
