Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom *Video*

While we were at Walt Disney World for the Disney Social Media Moms Conference we spent half a day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Both big kids enjoyed Expedition Everest and they wanted to share a little bit about it with you. FYI – this interview is full of excitement as well as spoilers. I believe this is the largest roller coaster at Disney’s Animal Kingdom so it was a must for my little thrill seekers!

They are excited to share with you how they braved this very big roller coaster and how the track was broken (WHAT?!) but we lived to tell the tale!  If you like spooky roller coasters, can handle heights, and are down with Yetis you simply must check out Expedition Everest when you are at Animal Kingdom. You will need to be at least 44 inches tall to ride Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. This is a very popular ride and you will be happy to know there is a complimentary fast pass option as well as a single rider option for guests that are old enough to ride on their own.

Please note – our kids are little thrill seekers – if you have a kiddo that is afraid of heights or spooky things you might want to try this ride by yourself first. I am personally not into heights at all. At one point riders are VERY high up waiting for the ride to continue. While my kids were all “This is totally epic!”, I was all “I just want this to be over.” – It’s an amazing ride, themed to the max, and one of the most unique rides I have ridden in a very long time. I just wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t tell you that it really wasn’t my cup of tea and why. I know there are others that might just want to know. If you want to ride Expedition Everest Legend of the Forbidden Mountain just know it is not for sissies!
