Star Wars : The Last Jedi Press Day #TheLastJediEvent
We are only about a week away from one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Star Wars : The Last Jedi opens in theaters everywhere on December 15, 2017. In anticipation of the film, I was invited to #TheLastJediEvent where we saw so much of what went into this film. One of the coolest things on our itinerary was the press event. Here are some of the highlights of what was available for us to see at the Star Wars : The Last Jedi press day!
I can reveal finally where Press Day was held. The top secret location of the Star Wars : The Last Jedi press day was the brand new Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. This hotel was exquisite, and I cannot think of a better place to host such a highly anticipated movie’s press junket. The event was so exclusive and security was tight, nobody was allowed to check in on any social media or let anyone know where they were! It is a stunning hotel and conference center if you ever have a chance to visit.
First we enjoyed the press conference (more on that later!)
I met these eccentrically dressed fellows….
We saw the costumes from the film! There were costume vignettes all over the junket floor.
Our family is already a big fan of Movies Anywhere. We use it mostly for trips. We love that we do not need to keep a CD case anymore, but movies can be purchased and stored digitally. If you love to watch movies on the go, you should check it out too!
Can you believe they have Star Wars Ice Cream? They do! The good people at Ample Hills Creamery made 3 different flavors that are perfectly themed for fans.

The amount of fun products available were unbelievable! Toys, clothing, video games, and so much more are available for Star Wars fans of all ages. There is something for everyone! Need a giant Porg stuffed animal? We’ve got your covered.
Need something a little smaller for the Porg fan on your wish list? Don’t tell Harry, but he is getting this Porg Mug and I am fairly certain everyone in the family is going to want to steal it.
Everyone knows our kids are big into STEM. My son actually spotted this build your own R2-D2 kit at the Fleet Science Center here in San Diego. Don’t spoil it, but he just might get one under the tree!
Any Star Wars fans looking for Star Wars themed Razors? Because they have those too!
There was a sneak peek at Star Wars Land. Our family is especially excited and we can barely wait til it opens in 2019!

Director Rian Johnson’s On-set Photography Display was incredible. Forgive the poor ‘photo of a photo’ situation going on here, but there was no way to do the photography justice.
Probably the sweetest highlight of the whole day was meeting BB-8. He even let me kiss him on the head.
Later in the day I also met BB-9E, who was perfectly charming to me. Don’t believe everything you hear about bad guys.
I will share more in detail about the Star Wars : The Last Jedi in just a few days.
