Captain America: The Winter Soldier
If you are looking for an action pack, super hero movie, you need to see Captain America : The Winter Soldier. They really ramped up the action from the start of the film till the end. Cap is jumping out of planes with no parachute, moving at heroic speeds, and flinging his shield like a super should.
The computer animation / visual effects are amazing, the new helicarriers look awesome and Nick Fury has some amazing weapons. My favorite has to be the newest member of the team, the Falcon. The character (Sam Wilson / Falcon) played by Anthony Mackie adds some humor to the team, but its the animation of him in action that makes this a must see.
Here is the second trailer if you haven’t watched it yet.
Here is the official Boiler plate for the movie…
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk.
Joining forces with Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever widening conspiracy while fighting off assailants sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.
Need something to keep you busy till the next showing? Check out the Captain America Printables for your kids (oh who are we kidding, these are fun for adults too).
Note to parents : The film has a lot of action and violence and we personally don’t feel our 7 year olds could handle it. A fair amount of people get killed at close range, not shocking for a super hero movie, but worth mentioning for families with kids; it’s kinda bloody. We consider ourselves fairly prudish and didn’t find anything to be inappropriate for our kids to watch as far as that goes. We won’t be taking our seven year olds to see this movie, but we will totally let them watch it at about 9 or 10. This is totally just our opinion, please read other reviews and make that decision for your family.
Note from Kate : I’m not super into Super Hero movies, but this was pretty awesome. Take your husband (or boyfriend, or dad, or son, you see where I am going….) – you’ll enjoy it too!
