Mickey’s Halloween Party Disneyland Park!
That would be my oldest dressed as Darlene from the Original Mickey Mouse Club – just an old t shirt she was outgrowing anyway with iron ons! Grandma was amazing and made her a full skirt just like the original Mouseketeers! She used a poodle skirt pattern – voila – so cute! We tied black bows on her patent leather mary janes and it really finished off the look! We picked Darlene because at one point she had long hair in braids – and Sister J is all about the braids!
Next was S – seriously how cute is he as Cubby? I mean, that is pretty cute right? We used a plain white shirt from a three pack and again – iron on letters and design on the back! Grandma graciously made him some old school pants but she said ‘Jeans probably would have been easier’, that’s true, but I mean, those are some pretty awesome pants right?! #WorthIt – Mickey ears he already had and some comfy shoes made him look every bit the classic old school Mouseketeer!
Yes. Yes we did dress our one year old up as Annette Funicello. I cannot tell you how many “Ahhhh – that is so cute, the baby is Annette!” comments we heard!
and from the back…………
It’s really hard to get three kids to sit for pictures…. especially when Disneyland is only few short steps away! But I had to get a picture of them in their cute Mickey’s Halloween Party costumes – I am seriously super proud of these cute kiddos and their Homemade Mickey Mouse Club costumes! If you would like to dress up you can Get more information about Mickey’s Costume Party Guidelines here!
Halloween time is my favorite time at Disneyland Park – I LOVE how creative they are with the decorations! Everything is cheerful and fun and not at all scary for my kids (who scare pretty easy!)
Rides are open throughout the park – we actually ran into a couple other Mouseketeers on Dumbo!
Seriously….. I say this a lot – but I am pretty sure this is my favorite picture of all time.
Before sitting down for the parade we had to do some good old fashioned trick or treating. The kids loved the candy, OK we all loved the candy. I also really loved that there were healthy options too – baby carrots, apples, raisins, and craisins – we alternated – one station would be candy, the next would be healthy – I really appreciated both options.
We made sure to sit down early for Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade Parade early – we had never seen this parade so we weren’t gonna miss it! I wish I had video of the baby’s reaction – she would burst out in clapping and squeal ‘YAY!’ with every new group of characters, it was priceless!
We were up way past bedtime, but you gotta do that every once in a while!
