Is The Mandalorian and Grogu too scary for little kids?
While I am not a film critic, the number one question I am asked is if a film is too scary for little kids. I will share quick thoughts and no spoilers. It is important to note that Mandalorian and Grogu is rated PG-13 and; in my opinion; a little scarier than the series it is based on. I feel this film is a very soft PG-13. There is more violence in the film than in the Disney+ series. While there is more violence; there is not really any gore. There are many fight scenes and death. My children are older now, but I was very careful about what I exposed my kids to when they were little. I honestly would not have hesitated to bring my son to The Mandalorian and Grogu when he was in early elementary school. I honestly felt the PG-13 rating was a bit harsh. If violence and peril is a ‘no go’ for you; I would maybe consult more in depth reviews. While it was more violent than the streaming series; I felt it was not gratuitous or gory. The film had my daughter and I on the edge of our seats the entire time!
