Christopher Robin Red Carpet Premiere! #ChristopherRobinEvent

The World Premiere of Disney’s Christopher Robin was held on the Disney lot in Burbank this past Monday evening.  I was so excited to be there.  This was the first red carpet event held on the Disney lot that I have been able to attend. It was a beautiful, but casual family affair. This family friendly movie brought out many stars and their kids! I have been fortunate enough to participate in a handful of red carpet premieres. Being even a small part of the celebration when the movie is finished is an honor and a privilege.

The decor was the most charming I had ever seen!

Seriously, the cutest.

A premiere on the Disney lot is rare, but this night was extra special! Prior to the screening, Disney Studio’s Orchestra Stage was renamed Sherman Brothers Stage in honor of Richard M. Sherman and his late brother Robert B. Sherman.  The legendary Sherman brothers recorded music for “Winnie the Pooh”, “Mary Poppins”, and “The Jungle Book” in the historic stage. It was fitting to rename it to honor the talented duo.  Richard Sherman is in his 90s and wrote three pieces for Christopher Robin.  Make sure to stay through the credits to hear his work!

The red carpet walk goes very quickly, but we always make sure to snap a photo or two.

The cast of the movie is so incredibly charming.  I cannot wait to share about our interviews later this week!

Before the movie we were able to walk around the lot, there were so many cute set ups!

Friends, this is the real bear from the movie.  I wanted to take him home, but I settled for a hug and a photo.

The opportunity to enjoy this sweet movie with those who poured their heart an soul into the creation of it is just a treasure. The energy of a room full of film makers, actors, and their families while the movie plays is magical.  I cannot wait to take my family, but I am so happy that I got to see it at the premiere.

Christopher Robin is based on the beloved story of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, and all their hundred acre wood friends. As one might imagine; it is pure magic. It’s wholesome and sweet and the perfect movie to bring the family to. I will be sharing my review of the movie in a couple days.

The entire evening was wonderful, but this was the highlight……

The photo is blurry, but the moment will remain crisp and clear in my heart forever. I was able to chat with Richard Sherman for just a few minutes.  I was thankful for the opportunity to let him know how much his music had meant to me over the years.
