how to get free coffee at DisneyEveryone knows our family loves Disneyland and Walt Disney World. We are experts in saving money and stretching a budget at Disney. How about Free Coffee at Disney? I have a couple great tips on how to enjoy some completely free treats on your next trip to Disneyland. My husband loves that there are now multiple Starbucks locations at the Disneyland Resort. Treats and coffee can really eat into a Disney budget; pun intended. Here’s how to get delicious Starbucks coffee and treats for FREE at Disneyland and Walt Disney World!

*Since I know you love a deal – make sure to check out discounted Disneyland and Walt Disney World vacations through our affiliate Get Away Today!  Use the code Highlights before you check out and you will get an additional $10 off your trip for two or more (2 night minimum). Bonus!*

You may have heard some outdated information that you can get free coffee refills at Disneyland. This used to be true, and sadly it is no longer. Don’t worry though! There are several free treats available and I am about to share about how you can get FREE Starbucks on your next Disney trip!

SAMPLES ARE BACK AT DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK!!

Some Samples may not be available as we transition out of Covid, the below information may not be accurate. While things may be closed for now, I assume this is temporary and will keep the information on free sample snacks at Disneyland available for if and when it returns. I have faith that Disneyland will be operating as it once was someday soon. Faith, trust, and Pixie dust…

Let’s start with free samples!  Did you know that you can get free samples at the Disneyland Resort? You can!  Our kids never miss a trip onto the Pacific Wharf at Disney California Adventure Park. There we take a stroll through The Bakery Tour, it is fun to watch the sourdough being made, but they also get a little slice of sourdough bread as you walk in. Just across the way you can visit the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop where you can enjoy a free piece of delicious chocolate. These are small things, but always worth the stop for our little snack lovers! I would love for Walt Disney World experts to share where there are free snacks available in Florida too!

Free Coffee at Disney

When Starbucks opened at the Disneyland Resort it was everything! Starbucks is a special treat, not an every day for our family. There is nothing like sipping on a real Starbucks latte (or a hot cocoa for the kids) while walking down Main Street USA. What if I told you that you can get FREE coffee at Starbucks in Disneyland?!  Not just free coffee, but literally anything in Starbucks for free. We do this every time we go to Disneyland. Disneyland can be pricey, but little tricks like this keep it in the budget!

You do need to set something up, but then it is literally no work at all!  We personally use Swagbucks as our search engine. We use Swagbucks.com instead of Google.com for our internet searches. That’s it. Because Swagbucks is lesser known than Google, they reward their users with points (or “Swagbucks”) and you can turn those points in for all kinds of things, including Starbucks gift cards! Click this image below to get started – it is super easy (And yes, you can totally get other gift cards but Starbucks is my favorite and it really stretches our Disney budget!)

“What do I have to do though?” Literally just sign up and use the search engine. That’s it. Points will add up.

“Is there more I can do to earn them faster?” Absolutely. You can take surveys, play games (what?! my kids love games, they can play them for me!). But you don’t NEED to do anything else, they will accrue even with just using the search engine. Honestly, I rarely do any more than use the search engine. It adds up just fine and you can use that to get free coffee at Disney.

“But I bet that search engine is using my search information for something?” Probably. I know for sure that Google does. If you are worried about someone using your search information for marketing purposes you should probably go back to the library. It’s fine guys, use Swagbucks and get your free coffee at Disney parks.

We never go to Disneyland without at least $25 in Starbucks gift cards, and we go several times a year! Remember that Starbucks carries food, drinks, and even souvenirs. And guess what guys? On my last trip to Walt Disney World I bought a little something with my Swagbucks to share with YOU! I brought home this adorable “You Are Here” Collection ornament from the Magic Kingdom. It set me back $12.95 plus tax, except that I used a Starbucks gift card, I also got one for myself, and a coffee, and a giant cookie I am not really proud of eating all by myself. Swagbucks work and I really hope you will try them out.

But wait! I have a great post on how to save money at Disneyland in other ways too. Check out 5 simple ways to save money on a trip to Disneyland! You can thank me later!

  1. CHRISTINA says:

I like to get free Starbucks gift cards from E-Rewards. I can get a $25 card every quarter…That’s $100 a year. I stretch them when they have happy hour of BOGO or complete a challenge to earn free rewards with my Gold card.

    • kate says:

Oh! that is a good one too! And yes, we love to go when there is BOGO or some kind of special. Starbucks is a once a week type deal for us, not really an every day. But at Disneyland we always get a Starbucks treat because it is kind of a ‘freebie’ with Swagbucks!

  2. Lacey says:

I am pretty excited to try this swagbucks out now!

  3. Love this idea Kate… I haven’t used Swagbucks in years but will start back up. We aren’t really Starbucks people but I love the idea of using the gift cards for a snack/treat in the parks!!

    • kate says:

Yes! Use them for just treats or an iced tea at a Starbucks location – it is one of those things that just adds up and it really does help us stretch our budget when we say “OK guys, it’s snack time, you can have anything you want as long as it comes from Starbucks” lol – they love the giant mickey cookies there – so everyone wins!

  4. Susan says:

My family and I love Disney, thank you for the tips

  7. JJ Wong says:

I love going to Disneyland. We just bought annual passes after many years and have been having lots of fun spending random and spontaneous days there. I will have to give Swagbucks a try!

  8. These are great tips! I’ve played with Swagbucks but it was too time consuming to do surveys and watch videos. I didn’t even realize you could use it as a search engine, I will definitely be trying that out!

  9. Melissa Dupont says:

    Great Disneyland tips to follow!

  10. nicole says:

    • kate says:

I don’t know this – but I do know I have registered the free cards I get so I accrue points with those free cards – double dip!

    • Nora says:

Awesome giveaway and great tips! Thanks!

  25. Lauren says:

I’m glad you can get it to work for you. I think once you figure out the swagbucks system it could be very rewarding. Personally though, it just wastes my time. Every survey I try, I don’t qualify for. One even told me that my answers were inconsistent and kicked me out without giving me anything (it is possible to not prefer name brand products OR generic products- I buy both). To get swagbucks for games, you have to make in game purchases and only get a fraction of the cost of the game purchase back in SB. And then I tried watching videos, and at the end of the last of 6 videos, it took me to a scam page that wanted my address so they could send me $1000 Amazon gift card (don’t fall for that one, just because those comments look like they are from Facebook, doesn’t mean they are. It never says Facebook anywhere on the page), and I never got my 1 SB for those 6 videos I watched. I spent 2 hours on their site trying to earn points, and I only got 6 SB- which translates to 6 cents in gift cards. All of which came from surveys I didn’t qualify for. I also never received my points for searching or answering their poll.

    • kate says:

oh wow – that is really odd. I personally only use the search bar and then you get swagbucks randomly for anniversaries or birthdays – I also sometimes find a ‘secret code word’ in the tool bar – I never play the games or do the surveys – but my kids sometimes do – we have typically not had problems getting the codes. I wonder if there is perhaps a glitch – maybe email Swagbucks directly? it really has been so good for us (I would not write about something that we don’t personally endorse) – it can take a long time to add up – but we always get our gift cards – I am sorry your experience has not been the same.

  26. Albert says:

You are a terrible person. “We love Disney”. Bullshit lady, you just want to go and look like a big deal while tryouts no your best to scam them. Just say, ‘here is an ad for a company who will give me a few cents if you click this link.’ At least you would be genuine and not some fake, cheap, broke-ass loser who can’t even afford a coffee. Do the rest of us a favor: just go to legoland with the other trash.

    • kate says:

Hey Albert – we go to Disney all the time. I’m sorry you don’t understand how Swagbucks work, most people can understand it but maybe it is too complicated. Also they give me several dollars per sign up. I wrote this post about a year ago and keep making money. Cha-ching! Also, I don’t feel like I need to show you my tax returns or anything – but we are 100% debt free other than our mortgage (and we are WAY right side up!) and are not even a little bit broke. Frugal, but not cheap. We can afford coffee, it’s just fun to use free gift cards. Also – we LOVE Disney (you can see many blog posts about Disney on our site) but we also enjoy Legoland.

      You have a great day!

  27. Keri says:

I love this! I use Swagbucks and generally turn it in on Amazon cards. I honestly never thought about redeeming them for Starbucks cards and taking them to the Park. Great idea! Thanks!

  28. carol clark says:

this is very interesting never been to disney but who doesnt wwant to learn how to save a little i know i do for when i go thanks
