Progress means studying and honoring history. People across America are cheering the addition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 11, 2021. While Indigenous People Day has not yet replaced Colombus Day, we can all hope that this is the beginning of that. Honoring Columbus never made sense to me, but celebrating the Native people of America does. We hope this free Indigenous People Day coloring page will be helpful for teachers and homeschoolers. When is Indigenous Peoples’ Day?
In the United States of America, Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated in October. This has begun to take the place of Christopher Columbus Day.This makes more sense because Christopher Columbus was a murderous piece of human waste, and the Indigenous People were doing way better before he showed up.
In Canada, Indigenous Peoples’ Day or National Aboriginal Day is celebrated in June. National Aboriginal Day is a day recognizing and celebrating the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Indigenous peoples of Canada.
