DIY Disney Halloween Costume Round Up
Disney costumes are some of the most recognizable and cherished costumes for the whole family! If you are looking for a not so scary costume for trick or treat, these are great options. Many of these DIY Disney costumes can be made without sewing! Whether you are planning a trip to Oogie Boogie Bash, to Walt Disney World, or just putting on a costume for a trip around the block, there are tons of family friendly options below. Some of the best Disney craft bloggers were kind enough to add their costumes in with our Disney Character DIY costume collection so there are plenty to choose from.
Updated with new costumes from Disney Channel as well as Disney and Pixar films. Many of the costumes below are ‘no sew’ Disney costumes that can be made with pieces you already have in your closet. Get creative this Halloween with something inspired by Disney!
DIY Disney Halloween Costumes
We LOVE to make our own easy DIY Disney Costumes. Once again we are sharing a round up of Disney costumes for inspiration as we go into the holiday season. We have rounded up several of our own Disney inspired costumes as well as partnering with several other craft bloggers. All of these costumes are hand made and many are ‘no sew’.

Can Kids Wear Costumes to Disneyland?
Costumes are not just for Halloween. Kids can wear costumes year round at Disneyland. While adults have to wait for special events like Oogie Boogie Bash; kids under 13 are welcomed and encouraged to get into character at Disney parks!
Can Adults Wear Costumes to Disneyland?
Adults and children over 13 cannot wear costumes to Disneyland. A fun work around that is allowed is to ‘Disney Bound’ at Disneyland. We plan on sharing more Disney Bound options with our friends here!
What is Disneybounding?
Disney Bounding is a way to dress up without actually dressing up. Disney Bounding is a sneaky work around for those who want to dress up but also follow the rules about costumes within Disney parks. Disney bounding is mostly done with Coloring blocking and clever accessories. We share several fun Disney bound ideas here on our blog so make sure to search around for inspiration.
Who is allowed to Disney Bound?
There is no age limit on Disney Bounding in Disney Parks. Kids of all ages, and adults can also Disney bound!
New DIY Disney Costume Ideas!
I have included a quick link to a few more fun costume posts we have shared that were not on this original round up. Dressing up as a Disney character is such a fun tradition. Have a happy and safe Halloween season.
